Dr Ken Young has a distinguished engineering record and has made substantial contributions to UK manufacturing over the last 25 years. He is recognised as one of Europe’s pre-eminent automation engineers and was Chairman of the British Automation and Robot Association from 2000 to 2010. His career at the Warwick Manufacturing Group, from 2001 to 2010, was outstanding, bringing world-leading research and innovation to the manufacturing sector.

Since joining the embryonic MTC in 2010, Dr Young has been instrumental in the centre’s growth. He has contributed the research and development technology that has enabled MTC to employ over 500 engineers and scientists, and establish a reputation for proactive, responsive manufacturing and digital systems engineering.
