Professor Sir Timothy O'Shea FREng FRSE

In 2014, Debrett's and The Sunday Times listed Sir Tim as one of the top 30 influencers in technology. In 1978, he founded the Computers and Learning Research Group at the Open University, and became chair in Information Technology and Education and Pro-Vice-Chancellor in 1993.
In 1997, he became Master of Birkbeck, Provost of Gresham College and Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of London, before becoming Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Edinburgh in 2002.
