Professor Morgan Heikal established and leads the internationally recognised Centre for Automotive Engineering at the University of Brighton. It is one of the largest UK research teams dedicated to internal combustion engines and related technologies, and is at the forefront of the development of laser-based measurement techniques, fundamental modelling and computational simulation.
A close relationship with Ricardo UK ensures that the group focuses on the industry’s most relevant problems and enables the centre to attract leading international academic staff.
With the university’s agreement, he has also established a new research centre at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in Kuala Lumpur to develop the indigenous automotive and oil industries.
