Dr Anthony Batchelor FREng

Executive Chairman, GeoScience Ltd; Chairman, Camborne School of Mines Trust

Dr Anthony Batchelor is a chartered mining engineer specialising in applied rock mechanics at depth, mostly for the oil and gas industry but also for gas storage, deep geothermal, mining and radioactive waste isolation projects.

The principal focus of his activities has been to deliver practical geomechanics solutions that can be implemented safely and cost effectively. Part of his role has involved a commitment to the training and development of young engineers, both within companies and at various universities worldwide.

He is the author of over 60 papers and co-author of four books. He also teaches at the Camborne School of Mines from time to time.
