Dr Alireza Moghayedi
Dr Alireza Moghayedi is a leading researcher in the digitalisation of engineering and the built environment. He specialises in applying advanced technological innovations to drive sustainability, enhance efficiency, and improve productivity. His work aims to improve the quality of life for end-users and society by integrating innovative solutions into construction and infrastructure development.
He serves as the Principal Investigator for more than 20 international research projects and actively participates in over 40 academic and industry projects, collectively valued at over £17 million. Dr Moghayedi is a chartered project manager and has held various positions in government agencies, engineering consultancy, contracting, and developing firms worldwide.
He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Digital Construction and leads the Digital Built Environment Research Theme at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). Additionally, he is the Co-founder and Co-director of the Sustainability-Oriented Cyber Research Unit in Built Environment (S+CUBE) at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
Dr Moghayedi actively participates in various Royal Academy of Engineering programmes and is an awardee of Frontiers of Engineering, Distinguished International Associate (DIA), Frontiers Champion, Transforming Systems through Partnership (TSP), Higher Education Partnerships in sub-Saharan Africa (HEP-SSA), and Engineering X Exchange (Xchange).awardee of the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Shott Scale Up Accelerator.
