Ben Pritchard 

Ben Pritchard graduated from Imperial College with a first in electrical and electronic engineering in 2004, specialising in biologically inspired robotics. Since then, at Thales, he has been a researcher, systems engineer, innovation lead, R&D investment manager, Chief Technologist, and now a recognised expert in autonomous systems research.

Between 2020 and 2022, Ben was an Royal Academy of Engineering Industrial Fellow. On secondment from Thales at the University of Southampton, he led research on supervising squads of diverse autonomous systems, as well as industry engagement with the Trustworthy Autonomous Systems Hub based at the university.

Ben’s team of researchers address aspects of autonomy that apply right across the full range of Thales capabilities and ambitions within its space, aerospace, defence, security and transport business activities.
