Research Fellowships 2022
Dr Bhagat is an interdisciplinary researcher focusing on types of flows (for example, interfacial, turbulent stratified, and buoyancy-driven flows) in the context of building ventilation. His research contributes to the development of sustainable and resilient built environments capable of effectively addressing future pandemics, and challenges associated with a warmer planet and extreme climates.
One of the key areas of Dr Bhagat’s work lies in the domain of interfacial flows, where he strives to revolutionise our understanding of these complex phenomena. This understanding plays a crucial role in areas such as airborne disease transmission and various industrial processes.
Presently, he is in the process of establishing a research group at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics within the University of Cambridge.
