Many recent artificial intelligence successes are due to impressive results where data is plentiful. However, many important domains, such as medicine and security, suffer from a lack of data, impacting how AI can be used in these areas. Dr Gouk's research focuses on developing new techniques that enable machine learning to be used reliably in these fields where data is limited.
