Dr Daniel Zabek - Cardiff University

Dr Zabek works on materials and surfaces on a nanoscale with various applications in the fields of energy, manufacturing, and process engineering. Modifying materials on the nanoscale improves bulk material properties leading to better material performance, efficiency, and cost. Daniel synthesises and characterises magnetic nanoparticles and is interested in their electrical, magnetic, and thermal properties producing colloids, ferrofluids, and coatings. These products lead to the development of new engineering principles and designs, to create an affordable and clean energy future with minimal impact on the environment.
