Visiting Professor
Ms Lucia Capogna is a cybersecurity and software assurance professional with more than 17 years of experience on several complex systems across multiple industries. She is recognised as one of the UK experts in cybersecurity, safety and software and she represents the UK as an active member of several CENELEC and IEC standardisation groups. Lucia currently covers the role of Cybersecurity and Software Assurance Team and Technical Leader and has extensive experience in delivering training courses on several disciplines including cybersecurity. She is member of the East Midlands committee of Women in Rail. She will use her experience to develop the students’ knowledge on cybersecurity and its lifecycle, legislation and standards and provide best practices on cyber security risk management. As a VP, Lucia aims to provide the next generation of engineers with tools and skills that will make them knowledgeable and capable to support the industry in delivering more secure systems.
