Visiting Professor
Paul Michael Pelken is a registered architect, technologist, academic, and innovator with over 20 years of experience, consistently producing award-winning and patented developments in design, architecture, and engineering. Building on a foundation in German craft, he earned two Diplomas in Engineering from the Peter Behrens School of Architecture in Düsseldorf, pursued studies in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano, and completed his studies with a Master’s Degree in Architectural Design from The Bartlett, UCL. He is the founding partner of London-based P+ Studio and Consulting. His experience spans a broad spectrum, from product design to large-scale architectural projects, with practice in Germany, Italy, the UK, USA and China. As Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor of Advanced Building Systems at Coventry University, he fosters students’ career development, lectures, and participates in studio reviews. He supports interdisciplinary curriculum developments with a view towards Net Zero and helps to create an innovative new degree offering in “Prototyping Architectural Products”. He is also a Visiting Professor of University College London, an Honorary Visiting Professor at City, University of London, and a Senior Associate at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
