Visiting Professor
Emily is an award winning international leader, Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Energy Institute and Women’s Engineering Society. She has over 22 years’ experience in the energy, environmental and engineering sectors in the UK and overseas. She is currently Head of Technology and Methodology at bp in the newly established Offshore Wind division, where she is building a global team covering Technology, Innovation, R&D; Engineering Quality; Safe by Design; Sustainability by Design; and Certification to challenge and change the sector status quo. Previously, Emily spent 10 years within world leading developer, Ørsted, where she held several leadership roles. Prior to offshore wind, Emily has just finished her term as a Trustee of the Energy Institute and Non-Executive Director of the Women’s Engineering Society. As Visiting Professor in Renewable Energy, Emily will work closely with Loughborough University (LU) supporting new course development, creating closer links with industry, mentoring staff, inspiring students to remain in engineering, championing EDI and chairing the LU Industrial Advisory Board for Energy Engineering.
