Visiting Professor
Erica combines a background in Sustainable Design Engineering with programme and policy development for Impact. Graduating from Product Design Engineering in 2006 with a 1st class Meng, she went on to work as a sustainable design engineer for Philips in the Netherlands before design and impact manager for Keep Britain Tidy in London. Founding Technical Nature in 2014, combines her love of nature with exploring sustainable, circular design and regenerative business innovation. Here, she works with organisations and individuals, coaching and mentoring on several climate accelerators and incubators. She also consults on product design and creative strategies for impact. She is co-founder of Design Nature CIC, a social enterprise empowering young people to design for sustainability. Erica has published on circular design and is regularly asked to communicate on the topic. Alongside this, she co-founded a global movement to look at the role of open source to enable a circular economy (OSCEdays). Active in sustainability in her local community, she volunteers with and is a former Director of Reading Hydro CBS.
