Dr Hermine Schnetler

After graduating with a BSc electronics engineering, further studies led to an MSc in Systems Engineering from the University of Pretoria. Dr Schnetler subsequently gained a PhD in Software Engineering from Cranfield University. Dr Schnetler is a member of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), a member of the Institute of Engineering Technology (IET) and a senior member of SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. She brings more than thirty years of experience in Systems Engineering to the Visiting Professor program, having worked in defence, commercial and research sectors. “I am extremely excited by the opportunity to inspire the next generation of engineers as an advocate of systems thinking and systems engineering principles and processes.”
