Visiting Professor
Andrew holds a PhD in Computing Science from The University of Glasgow and is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered IT Professional with UK Engineering Council and The British Computer Society respectively. He has 25 years business and technology experience across a number of sectors including: Financial Services, Telecommunications, Government and Outsourcing. Andrew is Head of Corporate Data Services for Barclays Bank, where he leads data & technology teams for the UK and International Corporate Bank based in Chennai, Glasgow, Knutsford, London and Pune. The Visiting Professor programme supported by The Royal Academy of Engineering will provide an opportunity to help impart knowledge of Data Product Engineering in commercial organisations to the Students of the University of Glasgow. This will focus on some of the cutting-edge use cases around Machine Learning and Large Language Models, and will help cultivate stronger teaching partnership between the University of Glasgow and Barclays Glasgow Campus.
