Visiting Professor
Dr Graham Herries is an executive leader with over 26 years of proven engineering leadership, managing complex programmes to deliver cutting edge high technology solutions across defence, aerospace, security, built environment and industrial engineering. He received a bachelors in Communications Engineering followed by a Ph.D. in AI. He has been a Chartered Engineer for over 20 years and a Fellow of the IET for over 10 years. As a volunteer, he chairs their Innovation and Skills Panel. He has led an EU funded H2020 RIA using IoT, AI and Digital Twin technologies and acts as an EU Expert Reviewer. As a volunteer he also sits on the STEM learning strategic advisory group. As VP, he will work with Birmingham City University to enhance attainment and employability through industrial practice, enabling graduates to succeed in work. These are key needs for future graduates especially those seeking employment in SMEs where formal graduate schemes are not readily available.
