Dr Derek Braden

Derek has over 36 years’ experience in product development and reliability testing.  He is currently a director within automotive technology company Aptiv, having previous responsibility for product and validation testing centres in Europe.  As VP, Derek will work with LJMU to improve work readiness and employability skills among undergraduates, bringing industry into the classroom through the integration of real life case studies, problem solving and reliability testing insights into existing teaching modules and student projects. A cornerstone of this will be the development of internships within Aptiv’s Technical Centre in Krakow, Poland.
