Visiting Professor
Dr Emma Taylor CISSP CEng FIMechE FSaRS FRAS FRSA leads cross-sector implementation of hybrid safety-cybersecurity across R&D, regulation and ISO, IEC and CENELEC standards. A past Chair of a Professional Engineering Institution, the Safety and Reliability Society, and a member of the Department for Transport Science Advisory Council, she is also experienced in developing novel teaching and peer to peer mentoring, and increasing the impact of deaf awareness across under-represented groups in engineering. An industrial engineer for more than 30 years, mostly recently as Head of Digital Safety at a VC-funded rail cybersecurity start up, her work impacts multiple Critical National Infrastructure high reliability sectors (transport, energy and space), in partnership with Cranfield University’s School of Aerospace Transport and Manufacturing.
