Suha AlMuhaissen is Assistant Dean for Training Affairs at the School of Pharmacy and a Senior Lecturer in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology at the School of Pharmacy, University of Jordan. Ms AlMuhaissen speaks regularly at institutional, national, and international workshops and is a regular reviewer for the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education.

This oral drug delivery system delivers medications to the colon to treat a variety of conditions including irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, amebiosis and colon cancer. The drug delivery system is based on the natural polymer Chitosan, which supports the uptake of bacterial enzymes in the colon, that will help treat local colonic ailments or deliver protein and peptide drugs into the colon.
