Duaa Abuarqoub
Duaa Abuarqoub completed her PhD in Stem Cell Biology from the University of Jordan and has worked as a researcher at the Cell Therapy Centre. She has published over 30 research papers, with her projects primarily focusing on developing a new cell-based therapeutic approach to treat diabetes.
This project uses Stem cell therapy to treat various uncured diseases such as diabetes and autoimmune diseases that occur due to the destruction of insulin. By generating functional and mature insulin-producing cells with high efficiency this innovation would be capable of controlling blood glucose levels and replacing the destructed β cells in diabetic patients.
