National Engineering Day is a day that aims to make the UK’s engineers and engineering more visible, and celebrate how they improve everyday lives and shape the world around us.

Now Hiring: The Engineers of 2076 is this year's National Engineering Day campaign celebrating the Academy's 50th anniversary by looking 50 years into the future. Through real job ads for roles that don't exist yet, it inspires us to imagine the engineering careers that will build life on the Moon, Mars and beyond, with expert-led visions exploring everything from food and homes to healthcare and fashion in space.

How can you get involved?

If you have digital screens, outdoor areas or advertising spaces, we would love to run our Engineers of 2076 recruitment ads there on 4 November just for one day. - Create your own 2076 space-age engineering job ad
In September, we'll release a job ad template that you can customise to create your own New Space Age engineering role and share on social media or in print. Imagine a role that doesn't exist yet and pair it with a real engineering job that exists today. What new skills might engineers need in the New Space Age? Or, looking back at Earth, what engineering roles might your organisation be recruiting for in 2076, and what would the job description include?
