PUBLIC EVENT
Estate planning can be a meaningful way to look after the people and causes that matter most to you. Join us online for a relaxed virtual coffee morning, bringing together Fellows, partners, and friends of the Academy for an open and informal conversation about legacy giving and planning for the future.
From the comfort of your own home, you’ll hear from both a member of the Academy’s Development Team and a specialist legal adviser who will talk through the basics of estate planning, including how gifts in Wills can help reduce Inheritance Tax and provide long‑term support for charities. We’ll also share how legacy gifts make a real difference at the Academy, from supporting future generations of engineers to strengthening our long‑term programmes.
We’ll also touch on why letting the Academy know about a legacy pledge is helpful, and how it allows us to plan ahead and say thank you in the right way.
Whether you’ve already included the Academy in your Will, are starting to think about it, or are simply curious to learn more, this is a friendly, no‑pressure session. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, hear expert advice, and take part in the discussion. Pour yourself a coffee, join us online, and enjoy an open, welcoming conversation.
