AWARDEES ONLY
If you have any questions, please contact Cerys Sharples, Community Manager, Awardee Excellence Community, Royal Academy of Engineering at [email protected].
For this event we are excited to be joined by former Engineering Leader Advanced Awardee, David Boyd who is Director of Boyd + Associates, and has had a varied career spanning across several industries.
We will hear about his journey from an engineer at British Steel, to merger and acquisitions to his current role as CCO for a start-up applying AI to cement and steel production. At the event there will then be opportunity to meet and connect with the David and other awardees from across the Awardee Excellence Community.
The event will start with a 15 minute presentation led by David, about his journey and his key advice for making career transitions. This will be followed by two 20 minute breakout rooms where awardees will be randomly assigned to rooms to meet each other, spark discussions around the theme and talk about their wider work.
About the series
The Community Networking series gives you a unique opportunity to meet and connect with other awardees from across the Awardee Excellence Community. The purpose is to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange and facilitate networking in a digital environment. Each meeting will focus on a different cross cutting theme or challenge faced by Community members, relevant across disciplines such as building successful partnerships or public engagement.
All attendees will be required to complete their entry into the Awardee Directory so you will easily be able to find and connect with the people you meet before during and after.
