Our winter Enterprise Hub Showcase is an exclusive evening of networking and pitches from the latest cohort of entrepreneurs supported by the Enterprise Hub. The event will be hosted by Maria Dramalioti Taylor, Managing Partner at Beacon Capital, with the keynote from the CEO of Brompton Bicycles, Will Butler-Adams OBE.
The showcase is an opportunity to view first-hand the tangible impact of the Enterprise Hub’s grants and training on UK innovation. Prototypes of the latest technologies coming to market from startups and scaleups supported by the Hub will be on exhibit for investment opportunities.

Will Butler-Adams OBE FRGS
Will Butler-Adams OBE is Brompton’s CEO. Will joined the company in 2002 aged 28, when it had around 40 employees; he became Director in 2006 and Managing Director in 2008. During his time, Brompton has become a global brand with over a million customers, growing from £2million to £100 million turnover. Will is a Chartered Engineer having studied Mechanical Engineering at University of Newcastle and previously worked for Nissan and DuPont. He a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, City and Guilds institute and has an honorary Doctorate from Imperial College London. He has a keen interest in education and was a founding trustee of Inspiring the Future charity, and Investors in People and Commissioner for the government’s UK Commission for Education and Skills. He is a visiting lecturer at Imperial College on engineering, innovation, and entrepreneurship, has published a book on business and lectures globally. In 2015 he was awarded an OBE by the Queen for services to Industry. He is married with three teenage daughters, has lead expeditions down the Amazon and up a 7000m peak, is a pilot, grows his own veg and produces his own honey.

Maria Dramalioti-Taylor
Maria is the founding managing partner of Beacon, a London-based VC firm that invests in enterprise tech across Europe offering growth capital as well as founder liquidity via secondaries. Before Beacon, Maria delivered top decile returns as angel investor helping build $1bn in enterprise value and $400m in exits. She is on the board of many fast-growing businesses, a member of the Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub Committee and of the Academy’s Chair of Emerging Technologies Steering & Selection Committee, an Entrepreneur in Residence at INSEAD and on the Board of Included VC. An engineer by education with an MBA, she loves fencing the foil.
