INVITATION ONLY
Launched in March 2020, the Lord Bhattacharyya Engineering Education Programme brings together an ambitious network of 25 secondary schools and FE colleges across the West Midlands region, with the aim of raising students’ skills levels and aspirations for careers in engineering.
The programme enriches and enhances the STEM curriculum, upskills teachers through various CPD opportunities, and supports students through further study and into engineering and technician careers through the provision of substantial bursaries.
This celebration event will provide an opportunity for network schools and colleges to celebrate their achievements throughout the first two years of the programme, and will generate excitement for the upcoming third delivery year. Schools and colleges will be invited to create an exhibition showcasing different activities and projects delivered so far, and students will be able to participate in a series of hands-on activities, meet and speak to local employers, and hear from a range of inspirational speakers.
There will also be valuable opportunities to network, allowing attendees to meet the programme’s bursary awardees, connect with local industry, and forge opportunities for deeper collaboration in future.
