The aim of our resources is to inspire the next generation of engineers by showcasing how STEM skills can positively impact society.
Our existence explores how different indigenous populations have used engineering to allow them to live in extreme environments.
Through hands-on activities, students apply modern engineering principles to design and build innovative solutions that address the needs of growing populations in challenging regions, all while considering environmental sustainability and ethical concerns.
Students will develop a deeper understanding of how engineers are enhancing the quality of life globally, inspiring them to consider how they, too, can make a difference through engineering. They will explore the diverse roles engineers play in society and develop essential transferable skills, such as problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and social awareness.
This resource includes a teacher guide, a set of themed activities, and two case studies.
