Roisin Quinn has spent her career at National Grid at the forefront of the energy system transformation. She has used her engineering expertise to tackle some of the largest challenges we face in decarbonising the GB electricity system securely and economically. She designed and delivered the first GB Capacity Market to ensure we had sufficient generation on the system as coal plants closed and managed the National Control Centre to keep the lights on during the COVID-19 pandemic. Roisin has consistently demonstrated her excellence as an engineer and the vital role of engineering in society.
