Wolf Mangelsdorf is Global Head of Design, Technology and Innovation at Buro Happold. He is a world-leading design engineer with an outstanding background in architecture, structural engineering and computational methods. Collaborating with some of the world’s best-known architects, he has developed elegant and buildable solutions to projects around the world. Each of these is characterised by high complexity achieved through the application of innovative structural approaches, and a deep appreciation of materials, technology, form, structural performance, and manufacturing efficiency. His initiation of new design processes and new computational technologies has allowed him to realise construction projects that point the way forward for the industry. Wolf is also Professor of Structural Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
