David Wright is an outstanding engineer who has made substantial contributions to UK and US energy delivery systems, including safety-critical systems in energy and defence. David is currently the Director for National Grid's £13 billion electricity transmission business, operating this critical national infrastructure at world-class reliability levels. He is adept at inspiring and leading major engineering functions to deliver exceptional operational performance.

David is the lead electrical engineer in the National Grid group. Throughout his ongoing career in electricity and gas transmission, he has raised standards, championed innovation and delivered an impressive array of engineering solutions.
