- Demonstrate the relevance of engineering to society
- Promote the work of the Royal Academy of Engineering
The Committee meets three times per year and reviews nominations for the Academy’s prizes and medals twice per year.
All members who are working for or on behalf of the Academy must act in accordance with the Academy’s values and its policies on conduct and behaviour covering items such as conflicts of interest, equality, diversity and inclusion, anti-bullying and harassment, and anti-bribery.

Each prize has it's own set of rules and conditions. Please see below for each prize.
Conflicts of interest
The Academy operates a robust conflict of interest policy across all its committees, to ensure all decisions are made fairly and no one party receives preferential treatment.
