The Rooke Medal for the Public Promotion of Engineering
The Rooke Medal for the
Public Promotion of Engineering is
awarded to an individual, small team or
organisation who has contributed to the
Academy's aims and work through their
initiative in promoting engineering to the
public.
The medal has been named in
honour of the late Sir Denis Rooke OM CBE FREng FRS,
President of the Academy from 1986 – 1991.

exciting public audiences with engineering
challenges and societal and ethical implications of
robotics research by bringing together leading
researchers in intelligent robotics with experts in
the field of public engagement.
