Major Project Award

The award recognises the contribution of a team of up to five engineers, based in the UK, who have delivered a major engineering project that has had a substantial impact on society. The project can come from any branch of engineering.

The call for nominations for the 2014 award is now closed. The winner(s) will be announced in 2014.

Recognising Sir John for delivering one of the most prestigious projects for the UK in recent times, transforming an area of East London waste land into the hub of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He has delivered this exceptional project on time and to budget, overcoming many challenges while under intense scrutiny from the rest of the world.
