The Royal Academy of Engineering
is a charity (Registered no. 293074). Many of its
activities are funded by government – others receive
generous support from charitable trusts, companies,
Fellows of the Academy and other private donors.
visions and ambitions are set out in its
Plan for 2011-15 (550KB). Realising these, particularly in a
challenging economic climate, requires the Academy
to build and nurture relationships with supporters,
potential and current on an ongoing basis. The
Academy’s Development team leads these efforts.
recent years fundraising has helped the Academy
achieve significant progress, increasing the reach
and capacity of its programmes and creating the
Forum for engineering. The latter project was
completed in 2012 following a successful campaign
which raised £6.5m.

Academy Fellows and other individuals similarly
